Gorintaku (2008)

Gorintaku (the Telugu word for henna) is a 2008 brother-and-sister drama starring Rajasekhar as an elder brother who has raised his younger sister, played by Meera Jasmine, with great love and sacrifice. When she marries, her new life brings conflict and suffering, and he is drawn in to protect her. Aarthi Agarwal plays the woman in his own life. It is an old-style sentimental family drama with songs and emotional confrontations, aimed at family audiences who enjoy tearjerkers. The title echoes the 1979 Sobhan Babu classic, though the story is different.
