Chatur Singh is a two-star police inspector whose self-confidence is matched only by his incompetence. Assigned to a murder case involving a politician's associates, he follows the clues, or what he thinks are clues, from India to South Africa with his equally dim-witted assistant, and somehow stays alive while gangsters and a glamorous suspect run rings around him. Chatur Singh Two Star is a slapstick detective spoof in the vein of the Pink Panther films, with Sanjay Dutt in a broad comic role. It was made over several years before its 2011 release and is generally remembered as one of the weaker films of his career.
