Kiraathaka (2011)

Kiraathaka is a Kannada village comedy-drama about a mischievous young man whose idleness and brawling are a constant headache to his family. When he falls in love with a girl from a neighbouring village with which his own has a long-standing feud, the romance stirs up old hostilities. Yash, then a rising star, plays the hero with swagger, and Oviya plays the heroine. The film is a remake of the Tamil hit Kalavani (2010), in which Oviya played the same role. It became one of the successes that helped build Yash's popularity before his later fame with K.G.F. It circulates in Hindi as Qismat.
