Aanmai Thavarel (2017)

Aanmai Thavarael is a Tamil action thriller directed by Kuzhanthai Velappan, with Dhruva and Shruti in the lead roles and Sampath Raj in a key part. The story follows a young man whose life is turned upside down when the woman he loves is abducted, and whose search takes him deep into a criminal underworld. The film is a lean, pacy thriller with action set pieces rather than a star vehicle, and its Hindi release is titled Apharan The War ('abduction').
