Ramachari is a short-tempered, rebellious college student who worships the late Kannada star Vishnuvardhan and has taken his name from Vishnuvardhan's famous angry-young-man character in Naagarahaavu. He clashes with his strict father, picks fights with anyone who annoys him, and seems to have no direction until he meets Divya, a cheerful young woman who falls for him. As the relationship grows, Ramachari's temper and his family's problems put everything at risk. The film was the directorial debut of Santhosh Ananddram and one of the biggest Kannada hits of its time, cementing Yash's stardom before K.G.F. It reunited him with Radhika Pandit, his frequent co-star, whom he married in 2016.
