Mantra (2007)

Mantra centres on an old bungalow with a sinister reputation: buyers come and go, strange events follow, and people connected to the house meet unhappy ends. Charmy Kaur plays Mantra, the young woman whose life is bound up with the place, and Sivaji plays the man drawn into its mystery. Rather than relying only on shocks, director Osho Tulasi Ram builds it as a suspense story with a twist, and the low-budget film became a surprise hit, among the more successful Telugu horror films of the 2000s. It gave Charmy one of her most popular roles and was followed by Mantra 2 in 2015.
