Jeeva is a happy-go-lucky young man until strange events reveal a connection to Bajarangi, a powerful healer and warrior of a past generation who stood against a cruel band of tantric sorcerers terrorising the land. As the old enemy returns, Jeeva must take up Bajarangi's mantle. Shiva Rajkumar plays both roles and transformed his physique for the film, displaying a sculpted body that became one of its talking points. Directed by choreographer-turned-filmmaker A. Harsha with music by Arjun Janya, Bajarangi mixes mythology-flavoured fantasy with large-scale action and was a major Kannada hit. A follow-up, Bajarangi 2, came in 2021, again with Shiva Rajkumar in the lead.
