Sigaram (1991)

Sigaram ("peak") is a rare film in which the singer S. P. Balasubrahmanyam takes the lead role, and he also composed its music. He plays a renowned composer whose career has reached the summit while his personal life, shaped by an unhappy marriage and a love he could not hold on to, has left him isolated. Rekha and Ramya Krishnan play the women in his life. Directed by Ananthu, a long-time associate and writer of K. Balachander, the film is a gentle, music-filled character drama, and its songs, especially "Vannam Konda Vennilave", are still loved by fans of SPB. This page is for the Tamil film.
