Sau Din Saas Ke (1980)

Sau Din Saas Ke takes its title from the saying that the mother-in-law has a hundred days, but one day belongs to the daughter-in-law. Lalita Pawar, Hindi cinema's best-known screen tyrant, plays the overbearing matriarch, Reena Roy the young bride who refuses to be crushed, Raj Babbar her husband, and Ashok Kumar the family elder. A domestic drama with touches of comedy, it follows the household's power struggle and the battle for respect within the family.
