Majili (2019)

Poorna is a talented young cricketer in Visakhapatnam with a bright future and a fiery temper. He falls in love with Anshu, a naval officer's daughter, but the romance ends badly, and his cricket dream collapses with it. Years later he is a bitter man who drinks and wastes his days, married under family pressure to Shravani, a neighbour who has loved him since childhood. She works hard, supports his family and endures his coldness, quietly hoping that he will one day see her. Majili, meaning a stage or milestone, was a hit and was especially noted for pairing Naga Chaitanya with Samantha, who were married at the time, with Samantha's performance as Shravani widely praised.
