Amaya helps her widowed mother Leela run a café-cum-library in Delhi. One of its regulars is Jayant, a widowed photographer who becomes Amaya's mentor and a family friend as she works with him on a book. Slowly Amaya realises that her mother and Jayant have grown close and are thinking of a life together, and her hurt, angry reaction forces all three to face questions about loneliness, loyalty to the dead and whether a parent is allowed a second chance at love. The film reunited Farooq Shaikh and Deepti Naval, the much-loved screen couple of Chashme Buddoor and Saath Saath, three decades later, with Swara Bhaskar as the daughter caught between them. It was one of Farooq Shaikh's last films before his death in December 2013. A gentle, conversational drama.
