Kaamchor (1982)

Kaamchor ('shirker') is a 1982 Hindi family drama directed by K. Viswanath, the Telugu master of Sankarabharanam, who made a series of warm, values-driven Hindi films. Rakesh Roshan stars with Jaya Prada, who was then becoming a major star in Hindi cinema, and Tanuja. As the title suggests, the story centres on a young man who would rather avoid work, and on how marriage and family responsibility change him. Rajesh Roshan's music is fondly remembered, especially the Kishore Kumar and Lata Mangeshkar duet 'Tujh Sang Preet Lagai Sajna'.
