Gopala Gopala (2015)

Gopala Rao sells idols and religious goods but believes in none of it. When a tremor flattens only his shop, the insurance company refuses to pay because the policy excludes "acts of God". So he files a case against God, naming the godmen and religious leaders who claim to speak for him as defendants. As the case turns him into a public figure and the powerful close in, a mysterious, cheerful stranger called Gopala starts to appear at his side. The film is the Telugu remake of the Hindi hit OMG – Oh My God! (2012), itself based on the Gujarati play Kanji Virudh Kanji, and Mithun Chakraborty plays the same scheming godman in both. It brought together two big Telugu stars, Venkatesh and Pawan Kalyan, as man and God.
