Sandhya is a bright young woman who finds herself travelling with Karthik, a confident, funny man she cannot help falling for. Karthik keeps his distance, and when she pushes, he tells her his story: a love affair and marriage with Vasudha that went badly wrong because neither of them understood what love really demanded. As he narrates, Sandhya has to decide what she wants from him and whether he has learned anything from his past. Sarocharu is a gentler, more romantic film than most of Ravi Teja's action entertainers, with travel sequences shot abroad and Devi Sri Prasad's music. Director Parasuram later made Geetha Govindam and Sarkaru Vaari Paata.
