Aadi (2002)

Aadi has grown up away from his ancestral village in Rayalaseema, where his family once stood up for the farmers. When he returns, he finds the land in the grip of a ruthless faction leader who killed his father and grabbed the farmland of the poor. Aadi sets out to win back the land for its rightful owners and to settle accounts with the men who wrecked his family, and the region's bloody feud flares up again. Aadi was the debut of director V. V. Vinayak and became a huge hit, turning the teenaged Jr. NTR into a full-fledged mass hero. Its faction violence, punchy dialogues and Mani Sharma's songs set the template for many Telugu action films that followed.
