Aasmaan Se Ooncha (1989)

Aasmaan Se Ooncha is a 1989 Hindi drama directed by Mehul Kumar, the Gujarati-born filmmaker later known for Tirangaa and Krantiveer. It brings together three generations of leading men of the time: Jeetendra, Raj Babbar and a rising Govinda, with Anita Raj and Sonam among the heroines. The story is a family and friendship saga in the mould of the period's multi-starrers, in which loyalties between the men are tested by crime, deceit and a wrong that has to be avenged, with the usual mix of emotional confrontations, action and songs. It is a good example of the busy ensemble melodramas that filled Hindi screens at the end of the 1980s, and of Govinda's early career before his comedy stardom.
