Aatma ("soul") is a Hindi supernatural horror film written and directed by Suparn Verma. Its main asset is Nawazuddin Siddiqui, cast against type as the menacing dead husband in the year he broke through with Gangs of Wasseypur, opposite horror regular Bipasha Basu. The film uses the haunting as a metaphor for domestic abuse and a custody battle that carries on beyond death.
