Abhishekam (1998)

Abhishekam is a 1998 Telugu family drama directed by S. V. Krishna Reddy, the maker of popular family entertainers in the 1990s, who also composed the music and, unusually, played the hero himself. Rachana is the heroine, with Srihari and Ali in support. The story mixes romance, family sentiment and comedy in the director's familiar style, built around a good-hearted man trying to hold his loved ones together. It is mainly of interest as one of the rare films in which Krishna Reddy acted in the lead.
