Ganesh spends his days waiting outside Sandhya's college, convinced she will one day return his love, while his indulgent father watches his son drift without ambition. Sandhya keeps her distance, and Ganesh's single-minded devotion begins to cost him far more than he realises. Suswagatham ("welcome") is a remake of the Tamil hit Love Today (1997), which starred Vijay, and was one of Pawan Kalyan's early films, before he became one of Telugu cinema's biggest stars. Raghuvaran plays the father in a role that gives the film much of its emotional weight, and S. A. Rajkumar's songs, were very popular. It is a youth romance with an unexpectedly sobering turn.
