Rocket Raja is a cheerful conman in Chennai who, with his partner Kaattu Poochi, pulls one scam after another while chasing the lovely Swetha. When a little girl turns up claiming he is her father, Raja learns about Rathnavel Pandian, an uncompromising police officer who is his exact double, and about the brutal gang that has sworn to destroy him. Siruthai ("leopard") is a Tamil remake of S. S. Rajamouli's Telugu hit Vikramarkudu, which was also remade in Hindi as Rowdy Rathore. Karthi enjoys himself in the double role, Santhanam's comedy fills the first half, and the second half is pure mass action. It was a major hit for Karthi.
