A man with a new name and a criminal past he would rather forget arrives in Malaysia and finds work at a small eatery. He falls for a young woman weighed down by debts and by the men who prey on her, and soon decides that the only way to set her free is a risky robbery. The plan pulls him into a world of gamblers, gangsters and corrupt police, where every move is a bet. Ace reunites Vijay Sethupathi with director Arumugakumar, who had made Oru Nalla Naal Paathu Solren with him, and pairs him for the first time with Rukmini Vasanth, the Kannada star of Sapta Saagaradaache Ello.
