Taana (2020)

Taana is a 2020 Tamil comedy built around an unusual handicap. Its hero comes from a line of policemen and wants nothing more than to wear the uniform himself, but whenever he gets emotional or worked up his voice turns into a high falsetto, which makes him a figure of fun and puts his ambitions at risk. The film follows his attempts to get into the force and prove himself, with romance and some action along the way. Vaibhav plays the lead, with Nandita Swetha as the heroine and Yogi Babu adding comedy. It is a light, undemanding entertainer that plays its odd central idea for laughs.
