Naanum Rowdy Dhaan (2015)

Pandi grew up in Puducherry as the son of a police inspector, and all he ever wanted was to be a rowdy feared by the town. He is hopeless at it. Then he meets Kadhambari, a young woman with impaired hearing who is searching for Killivalavan, the gangster responsible for her father's death, and who assumes Pandi is the tough man she needs. To win her, he and his friends must actually go up against a real don. Naanum Rowdy Dhaan ("I am a rowdy too") is a romantic action comedy, written and directed by Vignesh Shivan and produced by Dhanush. Anirudh's songs were huge hits, and the film is also remembered as the project on which Vignesh Shivan and Nayanthara met; they married in 2022.
