Description

Professor Ramdas has built a time machine, and a chain of accidents sends the cheerful Krishna Kumar and a young woman back to the sixteenth century, to the court of the great Vijayanagara emperor Sri Krishnadevaraya. There they get caught up in court intrigue, and later the machine hurls them forward into a bleak future, while a greedy villain in the present schemes to seize the invention. Aditya 369 is widely regarded as the first Indian time-travel film, and remains a cult favourite in Telugu cinema. Balakrishna plays both the hero and the emperor, Ilaiyaraaja's songs are still popular, and veteran director Singeetam Srinivasa Rao, known for inventive films such as Pushpaka Vimana, wrote and directed it.
