Ruby joins her father's expedition into the jungle in search of a legendary wild man, and finds Tarzan: strong, innocent and unaware of the world outside the forest. Their romance grows as she teaches him the ways of civilisation, but some members of the expedition have far less innocent plans for the jungle and for him. Directed by Babbar Subhash a few years after his hit Disco Dancer, Adventure of Tarzan was a surprise box-office success, made stars of newcomers Hemant Birje and Kimi Katkar, and became famous for Kimi Katkar's revealing jungle costumes. Bappi Lahiri's disco-flavoured songs were popular, and the film remains a cult favourite of 1980s Hindi cinema.
