Geetha Govindam (2018)

Vijay Govind is a young lecturer who has dreamed all his life of a traditional, gentle wife. When he finally meets Geetha, his ideal woman, a misunderstanding on an overnight bus leaves her convinced he is a pervert, and to his horror it turns out her brother is engaged to his own sister. Forced to spend time together through the wedding preparations, Vijay keeps trying to make amends while Geetha keeps her guard up. Parasuram's warm romantic comedy turned Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna into a hugely popular screen pair. It became one of the biggest Telugu hits of 2018, far exceeding its modest budget, and Gopi Sundar's soundtrack, especially the Sid Sriram song Inkem Inkem Inkem Kaavaale, was a chart-topping success.
