Aethirree (2004)

Aethirree ("enemy") is a Tamil action drama from 2004 directed by K. S. Ravikumar, the hit-maker behind Padayappa and Thenali. Madhavan plays an ordinary young man who finds himself on the wrong side of powerful criminals, with Sadha and Kanika as the heroines and Vivek handling comedy. It mixes action, romance and humour in Ravikumar's commercial style, and Yuvan Shankar Raja composed the songs. For Madhavan, better known for urban romances, it was a step into a more conventional mass role.
