Thiruthani (2012)

Thiruthani is a 2012 Tamil action drama directed by Perarasu, a filmmaker known for naming his films after towns, as in Thirupaachi, Sivakasi and Thirupathi. It stars Bharath as a young man from the temple town of Thiruthani, with Sunaina as the heroine and veteran Rajkiran in an important supporting role. True to its director's style, it combines family sentiment, a strong bond between the hero and the people he cares for, punch dialogues and stand-offs with local strongmen. It was one of Bharath's attempts at a full-scale mass-hero image.
