Agadam (2014)

Agadam is a Tamil horror thriller in which a small group of young people find themselves trapped in a building with an unseen presence, and the night turns into a fight to get out. The plot is simple; what makes the film unusual is the way it was made. The entire feature was shot as a single unbroken take running a little over two hours, with no cuts, and it was recognised by Guinness World Records as the longest single-shot film at the time. Director Mohamad Issack and his small cast had to rehearse the whole story like a stage play before the camera rolled, and the technique gives the scares a real-time, you-are-there feeling. A curiosity for anyone interested in filmmaking stunts as much as in ghosts.
