Agent Vinod (2012)

Vinod is an agent of Indian intelligence sent to Russia to rescue a captured colleague, whose last words point to a mysterious code. The trail leads him through Moroccan deserts and casinos, into the hands of arms dealers and double agents, and towards a plan to explode a nuclear device. On the way he crosses paths with Iram, a woman of uncertain loyalties who knows more than she says. Agent Vinod is Sriram Raghavan's homage to spy films, named after a 1977 Hindi spy movie, and was shot in several countries. Its most celebrated sequence is a long, continuous-looking shootout in a Riga hotel set to the song Raabta, and Pritam's soundtrack also includes Pungi.
