Yamuna is an ambitious journalist in Chennai who walks out of her job and, back at her grandmother's old village house, starts filming staged ghost videos for an online channel. The pranks begin to attract real, unexplained events, and a series of strange deaths connects her to Bhavani, a dark-skinned woman whose life was ruined by the belief that she brought bad luck. As the film moves between the two women, it becomes less a fright show than a sad revenge story about prejudice and rejection. Nayanthara plays both roles, and Kalaiyarasan plays the man whose past ties the strands together. Its theme of colour prejudice drew more attention than its scares.
