Nandamuri Balakrishna plays a double role in a story of a family wronged by ruthless enemies, in which old secrets surface and the hero is pulled into a fight to set things right and protect the women he loves. Allari Pidugu is a full-on Telugu masala film with song-and-dance numbers, comedy, emotion and big action. It is remembered as one of Katrina Kaif's few Telugu films, following Malliswari, with Charmy Kaur as the second heroine. Director Jayant C. Paranjee and composer Mani Sharma deliver the expected mass formula of the period.
