Amader Janani (2000)

Amader Janani ("our mother") is a 2000 Bengali family drama with Anuradha Ray in the central role of a devoted mother and Soumitra Chatterjee, Satyajit Ray's favourite actor, in an important supporting part. The story follows the sacrifices she makes for her children and the conflicts that test the family, in the tradition of Bengali domestic melodramas. The director's name is not confirmed here.
