Anaganaga O Athidhi (2020)

In a remote village, an old couple and their daughter Mallika live in grinding poverty, longing for a way out. One rainy night a stranger arrives and asks for shelter, and as the evening wears on the family discovers that he has a great deal of money with him. Greed, fear and temptation work on all of them through one long, tense night. The film is director Dayal Padmanabhan's Telugu remake of his own Kannada film Aa Karaala Ratri (2018), which was adapted from a Kannada play. Payal Rajput, best known for glamorous roles, plays the daughter in a deglamourised part.
