Shankar Pahelwan was the strongman of a Mumbai slum, loved by the poor and feared by the local mafia, until his enemies murdered him and his wife. Their infant son was carried away to Andhra Pradesh and grew up as Munna, unaware of who he is. When Munna eventually reaches Mumbai and learns the truth, he sets out to finish what his father started. Jr. NTR plays both father and son in this Puri Jagannadh action drama, with Rakshitha as the heroine and songs by Chakri. Andhrawala arrived amid enormous excitement; its audio launch reportedly drew one of the largest crowds ever seen for a Telugu film event, but the film itself disappointed at the box office.
