Annavaram is a fun-loving village man devoted to his younger sister. When he gets her married to a man in Hyderabad, he follows to make sure she is safe and happy, only to discover that the neighbourhood is terrorised by gangsters who have no qualms about threatening ordinary families. Determined that his sister should never live in fear, he quietly sets about destroying the city's crime network himself. Directed by Bhimaneni Srinivasa Rao, Annavaram is a remake of the Tamil hit Thirupaachi starring Vijay, adapted to Pawan Kalyan's star persona. Asin plays the heroine and Sandhya, of Kaadhal fame, the sister, while Ramana Gogula composed the songs. Its brother-sister sentiment and Pawan Kalyan's action scenes made it a hit with his fans.
