Anil and Ananya meet, fall for each other and, wary of the unhappy marriages they have seen at home, agree to try living together first. Ananya's parents have a strained relationship and Anil's mother, played by Madhubala, has her own disappointments, so both of them carry doubts about what marriage really means. As the young couple share a flat, small irritations, career pressures and family expectations test them in ways romance never did. Mohan Krishna Indraganti, known for thoughtful urban dramas such as Ashta Chamma, handles the subject with gentle humour and maturity. The film marked the debut of Eesha Rebba and brought Roja star Madhubala back to Telugu screens.
