Saravanan, a lawyer, learns that his sister, who had married against her family's wishes and lived in a palace far away, has died along with her husband in what is called a suicide. He travels to the palace to look after her children and soon realises that a malevolent spirit is behind the deaths and is still hungry. The fourth Aranmanai film draws on the Baak, a shape-shifting spirit from Assamese folklore, and mixes its frights with the series' familiar comedy from Yogi Babu and Kovai Sarala. It became the first major Tamil box-office hit of 2024, and Tamannaah and Raashii Khanna's song "Achacho" was a chartbuster.
