Arddhanaari (2016)

Arddhanaari ("half-woman", after the half-male, half-female form of Shiva) is a Telugu action drama from 2016 directed by Bhanushanker Chowdary. Arjun Yajath plays a transgender woman who stands up to the criminals and corrupt powerful men around her, with Mouryaani in support. The film's attempt to put a transgender character at the centre of a commercial action story was its main talking point. It is not widely documented, so this page keeps to the basics.
