Asadhyuralu (1993)

Asadhyuralu ("an indomitable woman") is a 1993 Telugu film directed by and starring P. Bhanumathi Ramakrishna, one of the great figures of South Indian cinema as actress, singer, writer and director. In her later years she specialised in playing strong, sharp-tongued older women, and here she plays a resolute matriarch who takes on wrongdoers and family troubles alike, with Napoleon in an important role. The music is by Ilaiyaraaja. It is one of the last films she directed.
