Guddu works in a small town to support his family, but he hears rhythm everywhere, in kettles, utensils and the street around him. With a group of other underprivileged children he begins making music on whatever they can find, and the band dreams of a chance to compete despite the adults who would rather they stayed in their place. Atkan Chatkan stars Lydian Nadhaswaram, the real-life child piano prodigy who won an international television talent contest, in his acting debut, and the music is by percussionist Drums Sivamani, with A. R. Rahman presenting the film. It is a warm, music-filled children's film about talent, poverty and perseverance.
