Description

In the dusty town of Amaravathi, ruled by a brutal clan, the police are a joke and Narayana is the most shameless of them, a smooth-talking inspector with his own ideas about justice. Years ago a travelling drama troupe vanished with a treasure the clan's late chief had robbed, and the chief's sons have been tearing the region apart looking for it ever since. Narayana sets out to find it first, with a little help from a sharp reporter and a lot of nerve. Avane Srimannarayana is a big, stylised fantasy-western with its own invented world, odd humour and spaghetti-western touches. It was the directing debut of Sachin Ravi, was co-written by its star Rakshit Shetty, and took years to make.
