In a village under British rule and the thumb of a cruel zamindar family, young Govind tends horses and dreams of riding one. Fleeing a punishment, he falls in with Vikram Singh, a rebel leader fighting the landlords and their British masters, and with Vikram's fiercely loyal black horse, Azaad. When fate leaves Govind responsible for the animal, the stable boy has to earn the horse's trust and decide where he stands. Azaad is a period adventure from Abhishek Kapoor (Kai Po Che!, Kedarnath) that marked the screen debuts of Ajay Devgn's nephew Aaman Devgan and Raveena Tandon's daughter Rasha Thadani, whose song "Uyi Amma" became a big hit. It was released in January 2025.
