The first Chaar Sahibzaade film told of the martyrdom of the four sons of Guru Gobind Singh. This sequel continues the story with Banda Singh Bahadur, an ascetic who, after meeting the Guru, becomes a warrior and leads the Sikhs in an uprising against the Mughal governor of Sirhind, the man responsible for the deaths of the two youngest Sahibzaade. The film follows his campaign, the battles that culminated in the capture of Sirhind in 1710, and the establishment of Sikh rule over the region. Like its predecessor, it is a 3D computer-animated film directed by Harry Baweja, with narration by Om Puri, made in Punjabi and Hindi. The first film had been a major success with families, and the sequel extended the series into early 18th-century Sikh history.
