Chakravarthy grows up under a strict father who decides everything for him, and arrives at an engineering college with no ambition of his own. There he makes himself the self-styled "don" of the students, leading pranks and rebellions against Boominathan, a rigidly disciplined professor who is determined to break him. Along the way he slowly discovers what he is good at, and the film turns from campus comedy to an emotional story about parents, children and forgiveness. Debut director Cibi Chakaravarthi's film was one of the biggest Tamil hits of 2022, with Anirudh's songs and the duels between Sivakarthikeyan and S. J. Suryah a big draw; Samuthirakani's father is the emotional anchor.
