Ardh (2022)

Shiva has come to Mumbai dreaming of becoming an actor, but auditions lead nowhere and money is running out. To support his wife and child he takes up a secret life: dressed as a transgender woman, he joins those who ask for money at traffic signals and ceremonies, hiding it from his family. The double life forces him to see the city, and the community he is pretending to belong to, in a new light. Ardh ("half") gives comedian Rajpal Yadav a rare serious lead role, opposite television star Rubina Dilaik. It was the feature directorial debut of music composer Palash Muchhal.
