Junga is a bus conductor who learns that his father and grandfather were both dons, and that the family once owned a cinema in Chennai that was lost to a rich businessman. Determined to recover it, he becomes a gangster himself, though an unusually stingy one who haggles over every rupee. His plan to get the theatre back by kidnapping the businessman's daughter takes him to Paris, where nothing goes as he expected. Junga is a broad, deadpan comedy spoofing the gangster genre, with Vijay Sethupathi, who also produced it, playing the miserly don. Much of the film was shot in Paris, and Yogi Babu and Saranya Ponvannan add to the comedy.
