Major Ranvir Kaul and a group of Indian soldiers have been held in a Pakistani prison for over thirty years, officially denied by both governments. His son Gaurav, raised on the hope that his father is alive, crosses the border to find him, and with the help of Khan, a fearless prisoner who has his own reasons to escape, the men plan a breakout from behind the walls. Subtitled Let's Bring Our Heroes Home, the film draws on the real question of Indian soldiers missing since the 1971 war, turning it into a prison-escape action drama. It brought together Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt and Akshaye Khanna, with K. K. Menon as the brutal jailer, and was an early film for director Milan Luthria.
