Rajaram runs an organic food business and an old-fashioned hotel, and refuses to compromise on honesty. His younger brother Vicky walked out after a quarrel as a teenager and built a very different life in Kolkata, where he is now a feared man. When Vicky comes home, partly for love, he finds his brother being squeezed by a ruthless industrialist who wants to destroy his business. The brothers' clash of methods, one believing in principles and the other in fists, drives the story. Ramabanam was the third film pairing Gopichand with director Sriwass after Lakshyam and Loukyam, with Jagapathi Babu as the elder brother.
