Mission Extreme 2: Black War is the second part of a Bangladeshi police action franchise about the country's counter-terrorism forces, again led by Arifin Shuvoo as the officer in charge of the operation and with Taskeen Rahman as the antagonist. Picking up from the first film, it follows the hunt for a militant network and its leaders, with large-scale raids, shoot-outs and investigation. The series was co-directed by Sunny Sanwar, himself a police officer, and Faisal Ahmed, and was promoted as being inspired by real counter-terror operations in Bangladesh.
